Helping Hands/Habitat for Humanity

Helping Hands & Habitat for Humanity

Both of these ministries of First United Methodist seek to serve the families of Thomasville who need help with their housing needs:

Helping Hands.  Volunteer with this ministry to provide simple home repairs to familes and the elderly who could not otherwise afford the work. One of the most requested services of this ministry is the construction of wheelchair ramps for the disabled.

Habitat for Humanity.  Join the local chapter of Habitat for Humanity in it's efforts to eliminate sub-standard housing in Thomasville through the construction of new homes or the repair of existing homes for the working poor. This team works on projects every other Saturday.

Construction experience (while certainly a plus) is not required to join either of these ministries. We provide on-the-job training! For more information contact Burns Willis.
