Local Outreach
At First United Methodist, we recognize that some of the most important ministry takes place once we leave our church campus. We have a responsibility to our community - to demonstrate the love of Christ, relieve suffering, and serve our neighbors. Therefore, we offer a number of local outreach ministries to help you make a difference in the world. Here are some of our local outreach ministries:
- Adopt-A-Student Ministry
- Alpha
- Bishop Hall Tutoring/Mentoring Ministry
- Various Christmas Ministries
- Habitat for Humanity
- Helping Hands
- Kairos Prison Ministry
- Lawson Neel Med Bank
- Mission Thomasville
- Mothers of Preschoolers (MOPS)
- Prayer Shawl Ministry
- Thomas County Food Bank
- Welcome Basket Ministry
If you have an idea for a new outreach ministry please contact Chris. We would love to help you get something started.
