About TFUMC Youth
In Matthew 7: 24-29, Jesus makes it clear that everyone will experience "storms" in life, but He also says that not everyone will come through those storms unscathed. The student ministries of Thomasville First United Methodist Church seek to direct students to the one true FOUNDATION of life that will stand the test of time - a relationship with God through Jesus Christ.
The teenage years are typically anything but steady! Our goal is to build relationships with students in grades 7 - 12 and through those relationships demonstrate the fullness of life available in the center of God's will. We believe that teenagers make decisions that will affect the rest of their lives. Decisions made to follow after God as a young person can bring truth and meaning to a person's life that will lead to an adult life of world changing.
To sum it up we want to SHARE CHRIST in a fresh and relevant way, BUILD DISCIPLES who seek after God and walk in His ways, and then SEND MINISTERS into the world for the sole purpose of changing it and making it better.

Beach Retreat - August 6th-8th
One of our favorite events every year is the Beach Retreat. We take time to relax, worship, and grow together at one of the world's best beaches.
Print a registration form HERE. Turn it in to Floyd along with payment ASAP! (Limited space available - first come first served)
Lodging: Laguna Beach Christian Retreat - Bethel Dorm - www.christiancamp.com
Cost: $65.00 covers fuel, lodging, and meals. Does NOT include souveneirs, snacks, or lunch travel meal on Sunday.
When: We will depart from the church parking lot at 3:30pm in Friday, August 6. We will return by 3:00pm on Sunday, August 8.
Who: All youth grades 7-12, (includes rising 7th graders), and college volunteers
Chaperones: A host of caring adults!
Worship Leader: Wes Kent
Packing List: SUNSCREEN, sleeping bag or twin sheets, towels, toiletries, Bible, appropriate one-piece bathing suit or tankini, changes of clothes, money for lunch on the road Sunday
