"First Fridays" Date Night

Marriages in all stages need room to "breathe" - the chance to reconnect with a spouse in our fast-paced world sometimes eludes us. Relief is here!

On the first Friday of each month, TFUMC's marriage ministry hosts "First Fridays" Date Night. Anyone can participate - those with or without children and those who have been married five months or fifty years. Couples take advantage of free childcare, discounts to local restaurants, and enjoy conversation starters designed to help them reconnect with each other. Below are the details...

The purpose of "First Fridays" is to give couples individual time to reconnect with each other over dinner. We hope you'll use the conversation starters we will provide each month to spark meaningful conversation. This will be easier if you refrain from double dates.

 1)     Drop off for your children begins at 6 p.m. Please feed them dinner before you come - we will only be providing light snacks.

 2)     Come to the children's building to sign-in and pick up our conversation starters.

 3)     We have arranged for discounts at local restaurants. If you choose one of these, simply mention to your waiter that you are part of "First Fridays" Date Night at TFUMC. If a restaurant offers coupons, we will provide those for you at  sign-in.

 4)     Conversation starters are given to each participating couple. Rekindle the romance and laugh as you explore question like, "If your marriage was an internet site, what would it look like?" or "What's one quality in your spouse you would most like to emulate?"

 5)     Childcare is free. All we ask is that you volunteer to keep kids one "First Friday" in the future. A calendar will be available at sign-in.

 6)     Pick up your children any time before 8:30 p.m.
