"Spring Cleaning for the Heart and Soul"
A One Day Rejuvenation for Women Saturday, May 18 in the Fellowship Building from 8:45am - 4:00pm.
The cost is $35.00. Free child care for children 6 and under.
Welcome Erisa
TFUMC is proud to welcome Erisa Mutabasi, pastor of The Church of the Blessed Mango Tree, to Thomasville. Erisa will be preaching at both worship services on Sunday, May 26. There will also be a Sunday School elective at 10:00am in the Fellowship Building when Erisa will answer your questions about what is happening in Rwanda as a result of our partnership.
Did you know? TFUMC is now a Stephen Ministry Congregation!
Stephen Ministers are laypersons trained to give Christian care to those in and around our church who are going through a time of crisis, such as bereavement or other loss, chronic illness, unemployment and other life “lemons.” Our first class of Stephen Ministers are nearing the end of their 50 hours of training and will be commissioned May 19.
Bass Guitar Needed
Do you have a bass guitar sitting in a closet that you would be willing to donate to a good cause? The Youth Band would put it to good use! Contact Brian Morgan for more info (bmorgan@tfumc.com). If you don't know already, the Youth Band is developing into a terrific group of students who are united in the pursuit of leading others in worship. Currently there are about 12 youth who meet every Sunday afternoon to rehearse. They even helped lead the worship in the Contemporary Service a few Sundays ago. Look for exciting things from the Youth Band in the future!
Keenager Korner
The next event for the group is the “Low Country Boil” at the Shriners Club on US 19 south, on Tuesday, June 11 at 5:30pm The meal will be great. The cost is $10.00. Call the church office to make reservations. The Keenager group is a Christian fellowship and service group for older or retired adults.
Community Garden
It's garden time. Volunteers are needed to work our community garden. All the vegetables we grow are for the clients at the Thomas County Food Bank. If you can help, contact Trinka Stirewalt at trinkasti2002@yahoo.com or 228-6578.
Food Bank Needs
The Food Bank is in need of plastic bags and gently used children’s books. You may drop them off at the church office.
Children’s Ministry Summer Dates
Parents - please register your children for Mission Camp, Vacation Bible School and any other children’s events they may be interested in. Parents please note you will need to volunteer to help with at least one event that your child/children will be participating in this summer. Our summer programming schedule has been posted on the children’s ministry page at tfumc.com.

Vacation Bible School is scheduled for June 10th - 14th. More information and registration is available at tfumc.com.

Welcome Skyer Ashley
Skyler Ashley's passion for student ministry began up north in central Illinois, which led him to a bachelor's degree from Moody Bible Institute, with a double major in both Theology and Youth Ministry. Having spent many of his childhood years in northern Georgia, Skyler desired to move back to warmer winters and the southern culture. Upon graduation, he moved to Nashville, TN until he could find a southeastern location to do what he loves most: serve the church like Jesus does, and introduce students to Him along the way.
